hi, Deb, thanks for sharing this with us. I know I did not have the QR codes activated at the time. I just downloaded the app. Better late than never, right? Take care. Esther

Deb,
Yes, thank you very much!
At some time in the future, it would be wonderful for us and our families to go to one or two of these places together.
Remember last year when we went to Mystic Aquarium to celebrate & publicise the accessible exhibits?

NFB Connecticut members,
Last year during the month of October in celebration of “Blind Americans Equality day, CRIS radio sponsored an event at Mystic Aquarium highlighting the work they have done to make exhibits accessible to the blind. Several of our members attended and are shown in the video accessing exhibits with barcode readers To learn in detail about what is there. Also we were able to enjoy feeling some of the sea life in a waist high water table that included a small shark! I remember Gary Allen being the first one to brave touching the shark. Also featured in the video are Rob Palaski and Becky and Richard Ireland. Also in the clip is The New Britain Museum of American Art that has several displays with descriptive barcodes along side. Here is the link to the video.
