[CT-NFB] Your opinion is valued.

Hello Jim and all.
This is a great idea! I for one love talking about myself. My problem is
getting others to listen. All joking aside, I agree that it is a great way
to get to know other members. Our members come from diverse backgrounds and
all of us have interesting stories to share. The only advice I can give is
that speakers should relate their experiences back to the NFB. Meaning,
speakers should talk about the role the NFB has played in their life story.
By the end of January I should have my tax accounting advisory firm up and
running, and I would love to talk about my experience starting my own
business as a blind person sometime in June. I especially would like to
share how the NFB influenced my life and led me down this path. Either way,
by June I would know if my tax practice is successful or is a complete
failure. Both stories are worth telling.

Warmly,
Edward

Hi Federation Friends,

The At-Large Chapter would like your feedback on a new meeting format.
That is, a speaker meeting using our own affiliate members telling their
stories.

A speaker would have 25 to 30 minutes to share and then take comments from
the audience. The meeting would run from 8:00pm till 9:00pm the third
Wednesday, every other month starting December 2020.

Our Chapter feels it would be a great way to know each other better.

What do you folks think of the idea?

Warm regards to all,

Jim Cronin
