Good Morning Leaders:


It is with a heavy heart that I report the passing of a long-time fixture in the National Federation of the Blind of Iowa and the country, Michael Barber. Michael has served in many capacities in the Iowa affiliate, including as affiliate president for a number of years, a dedicated board member, and most recently he was elected second Vice-President at our 2020 state convention. I know many on this list and throughout the organization knew him well, There is no doubt he will be greatly missed. 

His passion, dedication, and desire to help the blind everywhere are what made him such a powerful force in the Federation. I will share service details as I receive them.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife Kim, and all of his family and friends. Thank you!
