An interesting feature that the twins, they’re 10 years old showed me on my smart speakers recently is making an announcement. For example if you have more than one smart speaker that are far away from each other, stay upstairs and downstairs you can use it almost like an intercom to get a message to someone in another part of the house. You say to the speaker “Alexa make an announcement“, then the speaker will ask you what’s the announcement? You might say, “Don’t forget to turn turn on the dryer.“ The speaker will then make the announcement on all the speakers you have in the house. Someone in the other end of the house could likewise answer your request in the same way and send you an announcement. I think this is the way my son-in-law wakes up the girls when it’s time to get ready for school in the morning also.
