Eileen,

Thank you very much for your thoughtful and gracious comments. It was very
good to hear how each board member and public participant's points built on
and supported each other. And your contribution was valuable and needed to
be made to help make BESB better. I believe that it is fundamentally
important that every consumer and organization of consumers, especially ones
recognized by BESB, needs to be treated fairly and given an equal invitation
to make comments and provide criticism.

Thanks to all who attended the special meeting of the Advisory Board for
Persons Who Are Blind or Visually Impaired. I am sending this message
particularly to thank Nathanael Wales for his respect and understanding of
my comments regarding how the BESB survey was directed and for acknowledging
the American Council of the Blind and the ACB of Connecticut. Many excellent
points were made. The need for ALL of us to work together is of the utmost
importance.
