Hello Everyone,
Welcome to our weekly CHIRP ! We are now entering week #6 of raising
money for the National Federation of the Blind...NFB-CT.
Remember the musical, Bye Bye Birdie? Well, this is "Hello" Birdies
when you donate to NFB-CT through The Travelers Championship Golf
Tournament. Webster Bank will add 15% to every donation made. ALL of
it goes directly to NFB-CT.
We are the oldest Blind Civil Rights organization in the country. We
advocate for legislation which affects the lives of people who are blind
and visually impaired by actively communicating with our State and
National Representatives and Senators.
Just a few of the recent legislative topics include accessible voting at
the polls, making home use medical devices accessible, and making
expensive devices like screen readers and Braille notetakers more easily
attainable through refundable tax credits.
Whether you attend the tournament, June 20-26, follow it virtually , or
even if you don't follow golf at all, you can still be part of our mission
by making your donation.
Click on the link Birdies for Charity

and then click on "Donate".
For those of you who have already made a donation, THANK YOU!
If not, you still have time. Share this with your friends and family on
your favorite social media too.
A bit of trivia before you make your donation...
Who played the title role in The Birdman of Alcatraz in the 1950's movie?
Thank you!
