[CT-NFB] Early voting question?

Hello Everyone,
Early voting began on October 21st, statewide.
Yesterday, I voted in West Hartford. The ONLY polling place was at Town
Hall, as in many other towns.
The auditorium served as the polling site. From the entrance and through
the building, signage was clear.
Once inside, everything was set up appropriately to ensure privacy for
ALL voters. I was escorted to the accessible voting area, where everything
was set up and ready. Whe my ballot came out of the printer, I was given
an official envelope to sign, date and seal myself. We then walked
over to the table where I was given another envelope to enclose the first
envelope which contained my marked ballot. My name was again checked off
on the list that I had indeed voted. ALL of the ballots will be stored
securely in the vault and will not be opened or counted until Election Day
on November 5th. The moderator made sure I had what I needed and took me
through a few procedural steps which were used for this one central site
for early voting. It was a smooth, efficient , dignified and very
pleasant experience.

Because of the referendum in last year's election, we were able to vote
early this year. There was an even and steady flow of voters. This was
MUCH LESS stressful than having to stand in line in a crowd, waiting to
vote on one day.
This year, the referendum asks us to vote yes or no for "NO EXCUSE"
absentee voting. As you all know, NFB is working hard to allow electronic
ballot marking for both absentee ballot delivery and return.

Yes, the wheels of government and bureaucracy move slowly but they do MOVE.
Try early voting and see how you like it.
