Sally and her daughter came to try out our assistive technology devices, we meet families at the  <https://email.cloud2.secureclick.net/c/4104?id=2700771.2852.1.084c851e2f7ed4939dfef6ab1d8e9376> UR Vision Station in Manchester who are navigating the challenges of low vision, cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. These eye conditions can take away more than just sight—they often take away independence, mobility, and confidence.

Thanks to recent grants, we’re expanding our  <https://email.cloud2.secureclick.net/c/4104?id=2700771.2853.1.7b1a66c06616dcf4296590617b39e04a> UR Vision Resources program to reach more people in need across Hartford and New Haven Counties, ensuring that no one has to face vision loss alone. Through hands-on demonstrations and community outreach, we’re sharing vital information, tools, and support for those living with visual impairments.

We are thrilled to announce Norwalk Hospital will be hosting our upcoming Eye Health Fair in Norwalk on August 6, from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM, where families can learn about assistive devices that make a real difference—such as magnifiers, talking devices, large print resources, and accessible technology that enables people to read their mail, navigate a menu at a restaurant, or choose the right foods at the grocery store.

Vision loss can lead to isolation, especially for older adults who can no longer drive or read easily. That’s why our programs are designed not just to inform, but to reconnect people with the world around them—helping them live healthier, more engaged lives.
