Our agency for the blind, BESB, is still hiring certified teachers of blind children! As you will see, there are 3 positions in 3 different parts of the state. The deadline is October 27. If you are qualified, please seriously consider applying. And if you know someone who is qualified or have other contacts, please pass along liberally.

Good afternoon,

 

I’m excited to share a rewarding career opportunity with the State of Connecticut Department of Aging and Disability Services (ADS). We are currently hiring for three (3) Education Consultant 1 - TVI positions within the Bureau of Education and Services for the Blind (BESB).

 

These roles offer a meaningful opportunity for certified Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVIs) who are passionate about empowering students who are blind, visually impaired, or have multiple impairments to achieve independence and educational success. The BESB team is deeply mission-driven, working with children, families, and schools across the state to provide accessible instruction, resources, and advocacy.

 

We are hiring for three separate positions, with one position assigned to each of the following towns: Litchfield, Norwalk, and Tolland. These roles are full-time, hybrid positions with statewide travel, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:15 PM.
