Bob Burke and history

Bob has had a home in Manchester for many years and has his own car even
though he has had rP all his life and never been able to drive it himself.
It is a red classic, ruby red inside, 1995 chevy caprice classic. His first
meeting was in 1981 at the colony in Vernon. Frank Munier was a member since
1971. His friend and roommate at many conventions. Howard May was president
then. Kenneth Jernigen was the national president then. He was also our
national rep at that time. Bob met Sally Prentice, Jackie Billy, Bruce
Woodward, Frank Munier was there. Ginney Pearmen was a member at that time,
also Ruth Sager? Also belonged , then she moved out of state. Ester
Barbetti,. A lot of friends that were students at Oakhill before merged with
blind children into public schools. The first national convention Bob went
to was 1987, where Jackie asked Bob to Joint. Affiliate. and Bob told her
about his playing engagements but bob was talked into joining. Jackie was
first with ACB and then joined NFB in 1987, in Phoenix Arizona. Before that
Bob went to his first CT. convention in New London. Joanne was there back
then at national as Joanne Estes before she married and became Wilson. Bob's
cute saying one of many is, life beckons after a while. Jan Frost worked
at BESBE and put dots on Bob's washer machine and came to some of our
conventions over the years. Bob still has his streo amplifier and piano that
he still fixes and tunes since 1963. back to beauty now.
