Hey Guys,

Attached and pasted below are the minutes from last night's business
meeting. Please let me know if you were there and you'd like to see any
changes or additions. Sorry for the not so swell document title.

Best to you,

Trevor A

CTABS Business meeting, July 24, 2013

--The meeting started at 9:06,

Hamit gives inspiration

--Justin leads in pledge.

Guests George and Deb, and board members Hamit, Garry, Justin, and Trevor
are present.

--Garry says nothing has changed with our treasury. He's not found a bank
for our money. Kate has found one or more banks that will allow us to start
with $30 says Justin. Garry needs to talk with her.

--At 9:12, Deb Reed and George talk about charity cycling. Cycling Challenge
is the name of the institution. Registration for a cycling event with the
institution includes a T-shirt and cycling bag. There's a 15 dollar
registration fee. Those registered get a packet for fundraising via pledges.
Registered riders or teams of riders get sponsored by those pledging.
Cycling is indoors.

Cycling challenge puts on all sorts of events for fundraising. We can try
for a cycling team.

Justin suggests the entire affiliate should participate. Perhaps chapters
can compete.

-The cycling takes place in Bristol.

Contact Deb Reed if interested. Pledge business will start near the end of
October.

n 9:33; Talk about Advertising. Trevor sent a tentative flyer to Kate and
Brenton. He hopes they got it. Included in the email were questions: should
we mention mentoring possibilities and our FB page. Justin is comfortable
with having people visit our FB page. We'll need someone to guard it against
improper exploitation from a business or other entity.

--Gary mentions the idea of selling snack food prior to the state convention
for fundraising. This is something to put on our up-coming agendas. Perhaps
we can have snack packs delivered to hotel rooms says Garry. We can offer
discounts to early purchasers. We should talk about what goes in the snack
pack in future discussions.

The convention will be after Halloween, which means cheap candy. Garry's
Trick or Treat Bag perhaps? We'll also probably want non-candy items.

--Next philosophy call! 9:44.

Maybe we can just have a conversation starter based on what we do in certain
challenging circumstances. Justin has some "what would you do" questions
to bounce around next call.

--Meeting adjourned at 9:52.
