[Ctabs] 2022 State Convention Update

State Convention registrations are due! Please do not send registrations
through the US mail. If you want to register, please use our online form or
send an email to info at nfbct.org by tomorrow, October 19th. Here is a link to

Don't forget to bring some cash for Friday night fun! We will hold Jailhouse
karaoke. For $5.00 you can put someone in "jail". That person has to either
sing a song or pay $5.00 to get out of "jail". Have fun putting people on
the spot! Also, there will be a cash bar available.
Also, we will hold our Vendor Fair on Friday night from 7:00 to 11:00 PM.
Here is a sampling of our vendors:
* Achilles International-CT: Resources about Achilles in Connecticut
* VisionCam: Assistive technology devices with a smart camera to
assist people to read
* JW.ORG: Spiritual literature in audio, Braille and large print.
* Creative Blind: Len Schlenk will be selling various handcrafted
items such as hot/cold pads, place mats, pillows, scarves, etc
* OakHill NEAT: Technology for blind and low vision people; some Smart
technology also
* BESB: Marketing materials & staff to answer questions about BESB
* Hartford Braillers: Promoting blind hockey with blind hockey pucks,
gear and equipment
* Carroll Center: Information about Carroll Center services, including
pamphlets
* NFB of CT/NFB-Newsline: NFB of CT literature, Braille alphabet
cards, NFB-Newsline literature. If you haven't already, sign up for
NFB-Newsline; if you have signed up and don't use NFB-Newsline, get help
setting it up on your phone.
* You Can Do Astronomy LLC: Stop by this table to help test out
educational materials from the Astronomical Society of the Pacific.
