[Diabetes-talk] testing with the prodigy voice

Dan:

After I stick my finger, I press gently on it and do a quick wipe off on a
paper towel. Next, I place my hand so it is palm side facing up and continue
to squeeze the finger tip a fews times until I think there's a decent size
drop. My palm is still facing up and the back of my hand resting lightly on
the table.

With my clean hand, I pick up the meter and bring the meter over to the
finger, as near to the fingertip's area where the puncture is. I let the
edge of the strip touch the side of the finger tip. Only then do I turn the
punctured finger so the fingertip will face down and let the sample run or
drop onto the front, top edge portion of the test strip.

So far as I know the test area is on the front, top edge of the strip. I
don't think its so much on the top surface as it is right on the edge. I
don't recall hearing it described very well in the manual.

Hope this helps.

Eileen
