Walgreen's Piloting ScripTalk System 
Walgreen's pharmacy chain is currently conducting a small 12 store pilot program for ScripTalk Talking Prescriptions at select pharmacies in the Northwest Indiana area including the Gary, Hammond, Highland, and Merrillville areas. The ScripTalk System, developed by En-Vision America, allows accessibility to prescription label information for Blind and Visually Impaired patrons. Individuals residing in this region are encouraged to talk with their Walgreen's pharmacist to participate in the pilot. Piloting pharmacies will place a special electronic tag onto issued prescriptions. Using a provided ScripTalk at-home reader, the patient can get all the details of their Walgreen's prescription label spoken. Upon completion of this small trial, Walgreen's will consider availability on a wider scale.
