Hi Cheryl,
Yes all transplant procedures are treatments and not cures.
On August 9 my transplanted kidney experienced it 26th birthday! And I feel
great!
Regards,
Ed Bryant

Again, I want to congratulate on transplant, but being a member of the
National Kidney Foundation, Donate Life here in NY which is the NY Organ
Donor Network, and TRIO (which is Transplant Recipient International
Organization) there are not cures there are treatments. You have to make
sure again that you take care of yourself check your sugar every day, and
eat the right foods and exercise.

Not trying to burst anyone bubbles here at all it is a gift from god,
someone who hasn't beed on dialysis since 2005, I got my life saving kidney
from my best friend steve carroll who lives in Tuscon, AZ. I have to take
medication for the rest of my life, but again, transplant are treatments,
there are no cures yet for diabetes.
