[Diabetes-talk] What can we do?

Hi Debbie,
Isn't that what a doctor is supposed to do? What kind of things do you want
them to do for you? All a doctor can do is to try and help guide you as you
live with your disease. The doctor cannot take an insulin shot for you, test
your blood sugar, keep you from over-eating and more. In the end, it is
totally up to you as to whether or not you want to put in the work that is
necessary to keep your diabetes in good control. The doctor cannot do that
for you.

I guess I'm just not sure what you expect out of your doctor and/or medical
team. Are you expecting them to perform some kind of miracle that will cure
you of your diabetes? If that is truly the case, then you are definitely in
for a huge disappointment.

Dave

i guess you could say i am not a "medicaly friendly" person in the 42 years
i've had diabetes never once has anyone in the medical field done a thing to
help with this disease all they have done is tell me what i need to do to
live wit it. i pay them but i do all the work that just seems very crooked
to me.
