[Diabetes-talk] Today...

Mike:

The symptoms can change over time. When I was younger, like you I would get
a cold sweat & the shakes which made it very easy to know that my levels
were dropping. Now, after having had the disease 40 years, I no longer get
symptoms that are easy to distinguish. So bottom line is not almost
everyone gets the sweats & shakes.

Now, my blood pressure does change (can feel my heart racing) and almost
feel as though I'm having an anxiety attack ... not very pleasant and I have
to be more in-tune to these more subtle changes because once I do realize
them I am very low.

I have heard that this is common to diabetics that have had it for a long
time.

Eileen
