Thank you for responding Vincent.

Hi Jerry, I'm Kelly with DDI, the manufacturer of the Prodigy Voice. As
Vincent mentioned, the Voice is fully audible and we have the only meter
being endorsed and/or recommended by the NFB and AFB. We have won two
awards for our technology.

I'm a part of Diabetes Talk to provide accessibility directly to the
manufacturer so you may ask questions, or add suggestions and comments
that I forward to our owners and engineers.

DDI is committed to providing blind diabetics with an accessible meter.
We also have a talking insulin pump in our pipeline and currently
produce the count a dose.

I hope this helps. If you have further questions, don't hesitate to
contact me.

In closing, we have several outstanding distributors that carry our
product line. Vincent offered one contact and I can provide a list of
others if you're interested.

Thank you for your interest and I hope to connect with you in the near
future.

Best Regards,

Hi Jerry,

The DAN members here, myself included, have researched into the Clever
Check. I found on their Web Page they do not mention the design to be in
an
accessible format in any way or direction.
I have always shared one of the vendors that had come to New Jersey
during
our state convention to have been a good resource for both getting the
Prodigy Voice and the Prodigy Voice Test Strips. They are Advanced
Diabetic
Solutions from Atlanta, Georgia. Their Web Site is:
http://www.advanceddiabeticsolutions.net/
Their phone number is 1-888-377-6382. I have also learned they will be
in
Detroit for anyone going to the 2009 National Conference.

Home Care ofAmerica is no longer supplying the prodigy talking meter.
They
have a new talking meter call Clever Check. Has anybody used this meter
or
know about it.

Jerry
