You Insurance does not cover them. But just to clarify, they soak up the water and the crystals absorb it to which forms a gel.

Yes, most people carry them in other bags, such as purses, backpacks etc. As long as they are NOT air tight containers. The Frio wallets have to breathe because the evaporation process is what makes them stay cool.
