They want you to believe that, it will not be gone, especially if you are on 
diabetes medications.  IF you have had diabetes for a long time there is 
plenty of damage that we face that is underlying, I believe they mean these 
statements for newly diagnosed diabetics.

I have high blood pressure and there are times when my blood pressure is to 
low to take meds then I don't take them, but I can never stop taking them. 
It is a part of being a diabetic.  Diabetes is the one disease that causes 
blindness, nerve damage, kidney loss, high blood pressure, and things that 
we don't even know that might be lurking, because of all the damage that it 
does on our bodies. We might feel fine, we might be better but we will never 
be cured of this disease, not yet anyway.
