In a conference call on March 26th, 2009 regarding customer services,
Diagnostic Devices Incorporated is to be commended for having user
instructions accessible to all blind and visually impaired diabetics. The
free user's manual is included on a CD, and a Braille manual is included, at
no charge, if requested. Or to get to the free online User's Manual, first
go to <http://www.prodigymeter.com/> www.prodigymeter.com/. Then, go to the
fourth tab and click on "Our Difference." Next, click on "Customer
Support." Then scroll to the bottom of the page. Click on the tab on the
bottom left that says "Prodigy Voice Manual Text Format." DDI is also happy
to provide assistance over the phone. Free software is being developed for
the Prodigy Voice which is designed like a calendar with spaces for dates,
test results, etc. If a NFB member cannot afford the talking meter, DDI
will provide them with a Prodigy Voice at no charge. Currently DDI is
working on creating identical test strips that will work in both of their
talking meters.
