I do want to make one more point here. I think that when you live
with a cronich disease day after day, for many years, it's completely
normal to have a day, a phase, a moment when you feel sick of it, so
done with it, etc. I sure hope we don't bash people for feelings
here. Those feelings don't have to mean bad behavior. I actually
think if we have a safe place to occasionally blow off steam today I
really hate this, then those feelings will end up having less power
over us. Sometimes it does get frustrating and the less blam and
faulting we become consumed with, the more likely we'll be to
actually do our best. I still remember the struggle I had with my
glucose levels after having to return a guide dog to the school. It
was a particularly upsetting ending and man did my numbers jump up!
It took me some time, making changes in my stress management skills
and a lot of fussing to straighten them out again. Sometimes when I'm
out in public and can't always test, it can be a little tricky to
tell the difference between a low and a hot flash. <grin> If I'm
unsure, I treat and then fix later. I'm very fortunate that I can
feel symptoms of lows and I sure hope it stays that way. We can all
just do the best we can and if we get stuck, we can take suggestions
and help from others. What's that they say? Life's what happens in
between making plans?
Take care; talk to ya soon.
Veronica
