[Diabetes-talk] Vocal point

Now that I think of it, a number of DAN Board members checked out prototypes of the VocalPoint in the summer of 2009. The meter firmware appeared identical to that of the first version of the Prodigy Voice except for minor wording changes. The case is slightly different with the buttons more flush but the VocalPoint has the same strip ejection mechanism as the Voice and the same strips can be used in both. These similarities led a number of us to wonder if there weren't a case of patent infringement by either Specialty Medical Devices or DDI. DAN is not in a position to make such a determination.

It did give the room temperature, though, which my older Prodigy Voice doesn't. I have a feeling they're all made in the same factory in Taiwan.
