Bridgit,
My name is Kelly and I work for the manufacturers of the Prodigy Voice. I have worked closely with blind diabetics in providing them the assistance needed to obtain talking meters.
I have also worked with referrals from Mike Freeman who were having difficulty obtaining coverage for their meter.
If you know of anyone needing my help, please let me know. If you'd like to give me a call off line, you may do so at your convenience.
Best Regards,
Kelly Massaro-Neal

Hello,
I get my Prodigy Voice test strips from my local pharmacy. I also had no problems getting my Prodigy meter when I lost my vision. My doctor and nurse educator were really great and did everything necessary on their part. Is this not always the case?
Here in Nebraska we have been trying to work on a resolution to present to doctors and clinics about blind diabetics receiving proper and accessible devices. Many sighted diabetics are given meters free of charge when first diagnosed, but not blind patients. Over the years I received a lot of free meters and supplies, but that was not an option when I lost my vision. Anyway, has anyone else attemptedd something like this for their Affiliate? Any thoughts?
