Just want to add a little something here. No one sets my pump up for
me. No one fills my cartridges for me. I can tell the alarms I need
by their behavior. Now I don't use alarms to remind me to test and
other things like that. I wouldn't use them were I sighted either. I
do my own basal testing and make changes in the basal rates using
software on my computer. In the beginning I did sit down with my
hubby and go through the manual. I have a file in my Braille Lite
which lists the items in the menus so I can double-check my counting
if I need to. I'm glad I didn't wait for complete access even though
naturally that's what I want. I've been using a pump since 1991 and I
just can't imagine living without one.
I'll be very interested to watch the development of the DDI pump
though. Looks like it will be no tubing, which would be nice. I'll be
interested to compare filling the reservoir with filling the pod on
the OmniPod though. I hope it's simpler. <grin.>
