yes Linda. I am a travel professional and have gone through security a few times and also a insulin dependent diabetic.
You can bring your insulin, you syringes, strips, meters, etc, they should be in the packages the syringes, not opened, I know some come individuals as well, then you should put them in a zip lock bag.
If you use the pens they state what they are on the other side of the pen itself.
They cannot stop you from bringing that medication onboard. Do not put medication in suitcases being checked, in case medication is lost you are out of luck.
Always keep it with you. I bring a separate medicine bag with me since I use quite a bit of meds not only for my diabetes but others as well.
