I am so sorry for your loss Dar, but he died of Kidney Failure, which is a 
complication of Diabetes, I was on dialysis from 2002-2005, I was lucky I 
had a friend donate to me.

People die of complications not the disease.

People get confused with that.

Again, I am so sorry for your loss.
