[Diabetes-talk] Victosa

Actually, I think the only side effect victosa may have is some initial
nausea as byeta does for some people (though not all). Otherwise, I don't
think it has many side effects except that perhaps one feels fuller a bit
sooner after a meal. Victosa and byeta both flatten out the peaks in blood
glucose readings after a meal.

I agree with Bern and with your friend's doctor that if three meds aren't
doing the trick with Type 2 diabetes, it's high time she switched to
insulin. As Bern says, it isn't that bad, especially when compared to
complications or an early death. Besides, every person I've known who
switched to insulin, bar none, felt *so* much better afterward and wondered
why they'd held out so long.

Keep in Mind, Debbie: This is strictly a matter of preference for me and me

alone. Ya know, one never knows about site affects for new or old meds. I
tend to feel better personally to stick to Insulin. It's been around the
longest; proves to be the safest and most effective; and it gets the job
done. So many people tell me, "Wow Bern! I'd never do shots!" My
immediate response is, "Ya would if you thought enough of staying alive.
Now wouldn't ya?"
