Yeah, just ask my friend who is a nurse educator for diabetes, and she
says she's never heard of such a thing.

And I had several successful perms when I was younger too, smile.

There is often a chemical reaction with certain medications and
anesthesia. 
I do not know about insulin, I personally have not experienced this.

I will ask my daughter , she is a licensed barber and cosmetologist.
