Hello Albert, and all,

I keep my Prodigy Voice in a little zippered
cushiony case just big enough to fit the monitor,
the sticker-thingy (that's the technical term,
right?), some extra lancets, and a few alcohol
swabs. that's 1 pack. My other similar sized but a
bit larger zippered & cushioned pack holds my
Count-a-dose, the 2 bottles of insulin, and a
handful of 1/2-cc syringes. I travel a couple
times a year across the country, nearly every year
for the past decade and I have not yet been
stopped or bothered or even questioned by security
on these items. They always go on my carry-on, in
my backpack. Never in my suitcase, since I've had
my suitcases arrive in 1 part of the country while
I arrived in another, and then had to wait a day
to get them. For the record this even happened on
Greyhound once so be aware. I've learned to always
keep 1 extra set of clothing, my toiletries, and
my meds, in my carry-on. No worries, and enjoy
your trip! ;-)

Strive On!

Greetings All,
At the end of March I plan to fly from Greenville
NC to Colorado Springs,
CO. I need to know about transporting my diabetic
equipment (Prodigy Voice
with lancets and testing strips). I will also be
taking sufficient Victosa
Pens and needles along with sufficient long acting
Lantus pens and needles.
What is the best method of transport, in my
"Cary-on" suitcase? My Laptop
case? Other? I don't want to get caught up in the
"Security" hassle.
Comments appreciated. I can be reached by phone at
the number shown below or
at this email.
