That was my thought about the lens, too!  Big wow development that won't be
available for years, and then won't work for me anyway with artificial eyes.

Okay, check this one out! It sure woke up the cynic in side of me this
morning.
I'm pasting the link to the article but the short version is this. Google is
testing a non-invasive meter which is, wait for it! It's a contact lens that
is supposed to test using tear production. Now that ought to work well
sitting on artificial eyes, don't ya think. Obviously this isn't anywhere
close to being out and it's one of a zillion gee whiz promises, but wow.
