Oh Dotty, I’m so glad someone out there works like I do. You really made me laugh. Right now I’m in the process of putting a terminal emulation program on my Macbook so that I can connect my FreeStyle meter to it while I’m at guide dog school. I just finished telling my meter that if it didn’t play nice and talk to my computer I’d smack it with its own batteries! And yes, it talked. <grin>
Ah technology!
And Don, I hope you find a CD player that works soon. But seriously, you may want to investigate the insulin pens, especially with the large amount of insulin you’re taking. It would be nice if you could check out both ways of delivering insulin so that you have options. Hang in there. We’re behind you and with you!

I do know, though, that these things, have to be properly cursed before they'll work. Threatening my glucometer to put a spell on this that will curse it into the next century generally does the trick. You might try telling the Count-a-Dose that you will fill it with Coca Cola and watch it rust if it doesn't behave.
