[Diabetes-talk] Getting the Hang of The Basics

Among personal challenges, Type II Diabetes is one, but not such a big deal. Other than poking myself, the Prodigy Voice Meter is not very hard to use. Oral medicines are also fairly simple through tried-and-true alternative techniques. Main thing is learning for myself while educating others about my blindness and Type II, especially medical and pharmacy services. Granted not all that unique, but Facebook has been a good means for sharing info about the NFB-DAN, the talking meter, and perhaps a little method to my madness. I have also displayed the NFB resolution on diabetic/medical device accessibility. I do what I am comfortable with. Here's hoping this and other things I carry on with might help attract other interested people as an "average Joe" who happens to deal with these issues for himself.--Wade Hemmelrick
