            Tandem Diabetes Care Announces

            If you’ve ever wanted to see what it’s like to use the t:slim® Insulin Pump, you’ll be excited to learn about the new t:simulatorTM App, which brings the t:slim Pump experience to your iPhone®, iPad® or iPod® touch. The t:simulator App is available for free in the App StoreSM.





            The App allows you to simulate the following tasks, using the same steps as you would use on the t:slim Pump:

              a.. Deliver a meal bolus, using either units of insulin or grams of carbohydrates 
              b.. Deliver a correction bolus by entering a BG value 
              c.. Deliver an extended bolus 
              d.. Set a temporary basal rate  
              e.. Create and name up to six different Personal Profiles with customized basal rates, carb ratios, correction factors, and target Blood Glucose (BG) levels 
              f.. Set reminder alarms for Low BG, High BG, After Bolus BG, and Missed Meal Boluses  
              g.. View your simulated insulin delivery history  
              h.. Start and stop simulated insulin delivery  
              i.. Set the time and date  
              j.. Deliver a Quick Bolus using either units of insulin or grams of carbohydrates  
              k.. And more! 

            In addition to the pump demo, the t:simulator App has other great features, such as:


              a.. Optional “Tool Tips” walk you through key features and menu items. Tips can be enabled/disabled in the main menu.  
              b.. Fully functional integrated alarms, including vibrate mode  
              c.. Check your insurance benefits  
              d.. “Resources” section with t:slim Pump specifications, Glossary, and Safety Information  
              e.. Contact a Tandem Diabetes Care representative directly from within the app
