The other problem is that given the news yesterday from Johnson and Johnson that the Animas Ping could be hacked because of its remote, our chances of getting talking remotes is, well, umm, urr, right!
But as far as the Eexcom is concerned, unlike most apps in general, at least we have a 24-hour phone number with a human on the other end of the call. And since they have engineers around, I would hope that someone could get us an older version of the app if there was real trouble with the new one. But this is why I pounced so loudly the other night so that they know we're paying attention and we're going to be vocal. But I do wonder about an overload of apps fighting over that blue tooth connection with the phones since everyone seems to be going that direction. Oh wait! I can't unlock my door because Dexcom is checking my BG reading. <grin> So it will be interesting to see just how things advance, or not. <grin>

"Guide Dogs, First Hand", Veronica Elsea's classic album is now available on iTunes, along with other music from her and from the Guide Dog Glee Club.

You know Veronica, you described exactly why and how I refuse to use the
decks calm… I would actually be more pleased with the device or something
that doesn't depend on the use of my phone. We should be able to have
devices that work independently without having to worry about oh!! This
thing doesn't work with my phone. I won't be able to use it. No, that's not
acceptable to me When my phone has to take me to the bathroom so that I can
use it, wash my hands, does every other thing, it becomes not smart. To me,
that's carrying this to the extreme. I don't want to have to use my meter or
any other thing with my phone. I don't want them to be dependent on my
phone.
