Why is it so critical the insurance company knows what you use or not use.
its between you and your doctor on what can be disclosed and not. I have
kept hat info between him and myself and that’s all that matters. I have
had the dexcom cgm going on a year now and trust me its been a big help in
my diabetes health management.

Veronica,

Daniel is right, because my husband just received word about Medicare
finally approving the Dexcom. It does say that the phone app is not to be
used as the receiver. How will they know what you use though!

Daniel, your insurance company is full of it. I use my iPhone exclusively
for my readings. The latest app update even says that the app has now been
cleared by the FDA for making dosing decisions. Forget their inaccessible
receiver and just plan to use the app on your phone and you'll be fine. And
you can tell 'em I said so. <laughing!> Veronica

Good day list:
After much fighting, I appear as if I will be getting my new Dexcom system
after all.
Last time I wrote, I asked about the sensors, etc. However, I am writing to
ask about the receiver for the decks calm G5 this time.
>From what I'm told from Dexcom, you cannot use your smart device for your
readings, due to insurance restrictions. So how would I be able to use my
iPhone, plus the receiver? In other words, if I have to use my iPhone, would
the results eventually be sent to the receiver, when it too, is in range?
