Good evening Miss Jean.

You might also want to check with the independence market. It is the independence market of the national Federation of the blind. 200 E. Wells St. Baltimore, MD 21230. Phone: 410–6 59–9314. You can also go to www.MFB.org/Independence market. They have a large catalog with a diabetic section. They have a lot of information for diabetics there. In braille printer and on all formats. Another source is bookshare.org.

Also, some place like weightwatchers for a month or two would give you lots of good nutrient information if you look on their website at actual items and get past their points values. I do not know whether you can buy books from National Braille Press, but I think they may have a calorie counter which probably has some nutritional information. Also the app calorie counter has some stuff. Can't think of any more right now.

While diet considerations are different, they are related. I am not looking for specific diet suggestions. What I am looking for are comprehensive lists of foods so that I can track protein, carbs, fats, and overall calories. For kidney health, protein is what I need to manage right now.

For example, I might want to know X amount of chicken has how much protein, etc.? I’m also looking for information on daily requirements and serving sizes so that my nutrient balance is more in line.
