Thanks Brigit. I will try to  achieve that . I know that 5 to 6 range may
bea a bit hard to  accomplish but I will focus on getting down to the  6 to
7 range at first an then focus on getting  to  the 5 to 6 range.   What
should one foucs on if they wanto accomplish that. i havea pretty good diet
anddo exercise regularly on averae 1.5 to 2 hours a day.

Between 5 and 6 is fantastic, particularly for type 2's. 7 and lower is
acceptable, especially for type 1's. You also need to take into
consideration over-all health, and keeping BG's stable in general. A1-C's
show what BG's have been running for the past 3 months

I myself am in the same boat as you. I'm on orel meds and on insulin too.
An A1C target, I was told, was around 6.0 or 5.0, but maybe I have the
number's wrong. For better results, insure you ask your doctor what A1C
target he or she wants you at.
