> Hello,
The user guide states that the device should not be more than 20 feet away. Since the receiver is Bluetooth, it must be close enough for the receiver to be able to communicate with the transmitter. If you use the phone and it is also Bluetooth, it also must be able to communicate with the transmitter as well. Having it further than 20 feet maybe part of the issue.
As far as the sensor, Dexcom offer’s something called an overlay patch. They are considered a sticky type of patch, or similar to medical tape, that you peel off and stick to your sensor/transmitter once it is applied.
If you contact who you are training with and ask them about overlay patches, or contact Dexcom’s technical support department and ask them about overlay patches, they should be able to send you a pack of 10 overlay patches per month.
There is no cost for technical support to send you the pack of 10 overlay patches, in case you wondered.
Good luck with your training, and hope that the G5 helps you and you’re diabetic journey.
