Hi Joyce.
For as long and as hard as you fought, I'm so happy that you're getting some
real benefit from the Dexcom. As for the reports, this is a new one to me.
The only thing I've known about is the Dexcom Clarity app. If you download
that app, you can go on there and get reports anytime you want them. I'll do
a little snooping and see if I can find anything about reports coming
automatically via email. It could be something we set up on the web site.
But truthfully, I'm clueless at the moment. <grin> But give me some time to
snoop and I'll definitely report back here with what I find.
Again, I'm so happy for the security and independence you've gained. You
deserve nothing less. Congrats on winning the fight.
Veronica

Subject: [Diabetes-Talk] Dexcom questions

My first question is:

I have been using the Dexcom for almost a month. It has definitely proven
it's worth to me. Some place I read that it is supposed to send you a
weekly report to your email. Well as I said, I have been using it for 4
weeks this coming Wednesday and I have only gotten 1 report this last
Sunday. What happen to the others? Are you suppose to set it up in some
way?

Docctor'S REPORT

I went in for my first time to the doc's office this week and she gave me
this report:

My overall [not sure of the terms] rates have improved 61% from when I
started with the Dexcom.

I am not having the real lows and then the real highs. Of course, no one
checked my blood when they found me passed out on the floor. That was
happening too much.

The Dexcom is letting me know when I hit 80 and if I start dropping fast I
get that sound that lets me know I am dropping quickly. I like going by it
now and then and touching my IPhone to see what my numbers are and if they
are steady or climbing or dropping and if it is fast or slow.

My report back to the doc was, First time in 4 years I felt I feel confident
enough and feeling not like when it's going to happen again.

No way does this make me not miss my dear husband, but I do feel more
INDEPENDENT.

Joyce
