So will just hang on to my g5 and senssors as I do rely on longer usage of
my sensors till I can get new ones as I am paying out of pocket and not
relying on insurance to pay my costs. So for the time being I will stick
with the g5 till I see how the g6 pprogresses.since I am self employed and
cost for insurance with diabetes is very expensive for me an that is my only
means as the insurance covers all the expensive meds hthat I cant afford
out of pocket. Its my choice to have the dexcom as my diabetes management
tool and I am fine with paying for those costs but hoping for them not to
be high in costs that i cant afford it. but till then will just hold out to
see how veronica is doing with her g6 experiences an how long till things
improve for the g6. Veronica will b our test case for those who will know
how hard or easy the transition will be from g5 to g6.wont be eligible for
any upgrades till next year, so that will give me enough time to learn from
veronica on her experiences with Dexcom g6 an the sensor journey on how hard
or easy to accomplish.

Hi Gary,
Veronica mentioned I thought to this list but, it might have been just to me
that you can only use the G6 sensors for 10 days. The G6 cannot be pushed
for 2 or 3 extra days like the G5. At least the 1 month of sensors all have
the same code number. Hopefully soon they will make it so that we will not
need to enter this code every month and make it like blood glucose strips.
Where they are all calibrated to the same code.
Warmly, Joy

Heres my question.with the new g6 sensors and transmitters.does one have
that choice of doing eh regular caliberation method like the g5 or they
have to use the code that is going to be inputted every time from reading
the manual on g6.that will be a pain for a lot of us who don't want to deal
with all these hastles as we have a lot to deal with these sort of
issues.also can one use the g6 senssor for more then 10days or that will
not be possible as you can currently do with the g5 senssor getting it to
go for more then 7 days.just wondering about tthese and if some one could
answer them as promptly as possible.

Good morning,
I checked with Dexcom regarding the same question, and they said no.
