[Diabetes-Talk] Pro-voice 9 set up

Did the meter beep? Once for a good reading or twice for an error? No
beeps, probably no reading. Some of the strips can be bad and you don't
want to smear the blood on the strip either. You could visit a
drugstore and ask to speak to the pharmacist and show the pharmacist
what you're doing with the meter and the pharmacist very likely would
help you do things better or let you know you're doing everything
correctly. Last resort would be an E.M.T. and this is before a
doctor's visit.

You would think it would be simple but even after I tried applying some blood to the test strip it would not read at all. Unfortunately I don?t have anyone here who sided that can check at this time so I wonder if the company could help over the phone.

Otherwise, isn?t there a way to post a question on Amazon ? perhaps others who have had success with it might give you a pointer or two.

I?ve tried it multiple times with multiple settings on the Lansing device and if there was a reading on the meter it is not audibly announce it. For those of you who have one of these what do you do in that instance? Is there a type of set up required that I?m not aware? I find it interesting that it will talk to me when I put the test strip in and it gives me the instructions but that?s about it. I?m going to be really upset if that is all this meter does when it comes to announcing. Part of the reason why I bought it is because it was half the price of the prodigy but I?ve also seen some really good reviews on it through Amazon even from sighted people who use the audio feature. Their readings were announced so I question what I may be doing wrong.
