I don't have the Libra system, but I do use the Dexcom and I have found that there is basically like a thin tacky thing that was recommended to me from the Dexcom trainers. It is used in the hospital when they insert a needle in your vein and it seals and is clear so people can see thru it. I went toCVS and asked the pharmusist if they had anything. They did help me find something that they carried on their shelves that worked for me. I can't use a lot of the tapes, but what they recommended did the job.

If you have contact information for the makers of Libra system call them as Dexcom will rush out replacements for things that don't work properly.

Subject: [Diabetes-Talk] Having trouble with Libra sensors

Sent from my iPhoneHello everyone,

I have a 14 day Libra system. I have been using it for about 2 months now. I absolutely love it! I feel it has been a huge game changer for me.

Anyway, I have been having problems with my last few sensors, after putting them on. I am totally blind, so my aide helps me put them on. We do this every 2 weeks, on a Monday.

Well, 2 weeks ago when she went to place the sensor on my left arm, it would not stick, or stay in. Within an hour, it came out of my arm. I called my provider, and they had me call the company who offers the Libra. My sensor was replaced. The next 1 worked as it should have. Just as they had before.

Well, ever since I got my sensor placed this morning, it isn’t wanting to stick right. It is on the back side of my right arm. Half of it wants to come up. And when I bend my arm, I can feel a small poke from the needle. I don’t feel that this sensor will last for 2 weeks, much less 2 days.

Do you all have any recommendations?
What the heck could be going on?
I don’t understand why this could be happening.

Any help is much appreciated.
Thank you,

Terri
