[Diabetes-Talk] Dexcom G6 app, cool discovery.

I just contacted Dexcom before an x-ray. They said any procedure involving magnetism (MRI and CT) require you to totally remove the sensor and transmitter. For a simple x-ray, I just wore the lead apron over it. I did the same for my mammogram. I'm pretty sure the upper and lower GI series don't use magnetism.

Dar,

We use Dexcom, so not sure what Libre's protocol is, but with Dexcom, if a sensor comes out before its change date, you just call tech support, and they will send out a new sensor.

For medical procedures like MRIs, yes, you need to remove the sensor. I'm not as familiar with Libre, but with Dexcom, I know you remove the entire system, sensor and transmitter.

What did they do for you when you spoke on behalf of the cencer coming off.

Speaking of cencers,
I have a test on the eighth where I am told not to wear any kind of metal.
Is the cencer any metal at all.
Or should I not wear it until all of this is over.?
Upper GI and lower well you know the rest giggle.
