[Diabetes-Talk] Thank you, and query for Joy, Came across a nice Dexcom G6 feature for the iPhone...

Paul, I'm not Joy but here's what I do. I too hit the home button twice to
get into the Dexcom app. If you start by putting your finger in the lower
right corner of the screen, you'll hit your BG reading sooner. But neither
the G5 nor the G6 open with the focus right on the reading. Oh that would be
nice though.

Thank you all for your comments...

Joy, I too keep my G5 app open, but when I unlock my phone, I need to press
the "home" button to take it from the lock screen to the Dexcom app, and
focus is then on the untagged button at the top, so I need to swipe right
several times to get to the glucose reading.

Mine is an iPhone 6S, is there another way I can set it up to more quickly
get to the glucose level like you do?

Warm regards,
Paul.

Hi Paul,
I am using the Dexcom G6 and it is a new feature added a few months ago. I
have only used it a few times because I find it faster to just unlock my
phone and my result is instantly displayed because I just keep the App open.
Warmly, Joy

Hi all,

When Googleing for a related matter, I came across the following page:

https://www.dexcom.com/faq/what-are-latest-updates-g6-cgm-app

which says, that Siri can be asked what one's glucose level is, even from
the lock screen.

The Dexcom G6 is not yet available in Australia, but is this something else
I can look forward to, or does the hype exceed the reality?

Warm regards,

Paul in Australia
