I don't hit the home button to wake it up before unlocking, I press the
power button then do my thumbprint, so yeah, forgot people might use the
home button for both LOL!

Bridgit, I think he's talking about hitting the home button to first get
into the locked screen. In otherwords, starting from zero. Then pressing the
home button will either take you to the home screen or to the app which was
opened when he locked the phone. That's how I do it as well.

Paul,

This sounds like standard procedure for all Dexcom users, grin. When you say
you press the home button, I take it you mean the app switcher, which
rotates between whatever open apps you have at the time. Once you open up
Dexcom, if you place your finger at the bottom of the screen then swipe up
once, this should give you your Dexcom reading.

Thank you all for your comments...

Joy, I too keep my G5 app open, but when I unlock my phone, I need to press
the "home" button to take it from the lock screen to the Dexcom app, and
focus is then on the untagged button at the top, so I need to swipe right
several times to get to the glucose reading.

Mine is an iPhone 6S, is there another way I can set it up to more quickly
get to the glucose level like you do?

Warm regards,
Paul.

Hi Paul,
I am using the Dexcom G6 and it is a new feature added a few months ago. I
have only used it a few times because I find it faster to just unlock my
phone and my result is instantly displayed because I just keep the App open.
Warmly, Joy

Hi all,

When Googleing for a related matter, I came across the following page:

https://www.dexcom.com/faq/what-are-latest-updates-g6-cgm-app

which says, that Siri can be asked what one's glucose level is, even from
the lock screen.

The Dexcom G6 is not yet available in Australia, but is this something else
I can look forward to, or does the hype exceed the reality?

Warm regards,

Paul in Australia
