[Diabetes-Talk] G6 issue

This really messed up your Dexcom. Mine only wouldn’t let me dismiss the alerts and alarms. My sensor still worked just fine. My son showed me a really neat new feature that is one of the new apps in the latest IOS update. It is the shortcut app. He connected it with my Dexcom, so I just have to say “Hey Siri. What is my blood sugar?”. I don’t have to roll over in bed or touch my phone to open the app while doing my step aerobics to check my blood sugar now.

The company that manages it for me has redunredundancies all around the world. Microsoft and Google? Sorry, but no excuse for a server to be down for 5 days. Mine completely died once and it was back up in less than an hour.
> I told them on the phone that since I had just put this sensor in, if I ended up taking it out because Dexcom was such a mess, they were going to replace it. The guy on the other end of the line, nice as he was, ummm, really? Really? He tried to tell me that in order to take advantage of their latest features, I should uninstall the app and then reinstall it. Hello? No other app on my phone behaves that way. Then why do they put out updates? I suggested that he consult his manuals and supervisors on that one. Not to mention, had I followed his directions, I wouldn't have been able to get back in. I also pointed out that I happened to remember my sensor code but I bet many people wouldn't. Or didn't save that itty bitty piece of paper. I do hope their customer service training catches up to reality soon. Sheesh!
