Terry, I would ask about changing your Insulin. I have used Victoza, and not
had issues, but it sounds like there are some other medical issues that you
need to address. I do not tolerate Metformen, and based on what you have
said I would not go back on it, but I would not wait to speak to your
doctor. If there are some other medical issues unless they are figured out,
you won't completely solve this problem just by changing to another
injectable.

Hello everyone,


For about 6 months or so, I have been taking Ozimpic. I was switched to 
this from Voctoza. I was having way too many side affects from the 
Victoza. Even though I was on it for years. I was dealing with awful 
nausia, gas, bloating, worsening of my constipation, and more.

So after a few talks with my doctor, he switched me to the Ozimpic.


At first, I thought things were better. I started out on the lowest 
dose. Then about 3 months ago, he adjusted my dosage. I can't think of 
what dose it is though. I am still getting used to this medication. I 
know I turn the pen all the way to the last click, and that's my dose.


Well not long after the dosage change, i started feeling awful! I take 
my medication in the morning, once a week, on Thursdays. I have started 
having horrible waves of nausia. I haven't vomited. But there are times 
that the nausia is so bad, that I think I might be sick. They seem to 
happen mostly in the morning, to mid afternoon. But this is not always 
the case.


I deal with a lot of stomach issues, as it is. My doctors have thought 
for the last few years, that I might have gastropereses. But this has 
not officially been diagnosed yet. They have also talked about irritable 
bowel syndrome. I deal with a lot of gas and constipation on a pretty 
regular basis. So as you all can imagine, I don't need any help with any 
of this.


So I was wondering, for those of you who take Victoza, do you have side 
affects from it?

What do you do to deal with them?

How concerned should I be about my symptoms?

And how long should I let them last, before I talk with my doctor about it.


I don't know if I want another injectable medication that is going to 
most possibly be like Victoza was. I mean, I know I need the help in 
controlling my blood sugar. I just don't think this is the way to go. 
But my doctor is not open to many of the newer medications that are out, 
due to their side affects. And such things as that. But he also does not 
want to put me back on the Metformin, because it really tore up my 
stomach. It gave me nasty diareah. So he says it's not good for me, and 
could do more harm than good. Which makes perfect sense to me.


I just am not sure what route to go, if I decide that Ozimpic isn't 
right for me.


Do any of you have any thoughts, or advice?

I would love to hear what you all think. I really appreciate this group. 
I appreciate the support you all give. It means a lot to me.
