[Diabetes-Talk] Problems with dexcom, looking for info on FreeStyle Libre.

Let's clarify, please. You can buy patches or overlays which "Simpatch" says
can be placed over the Freestyle libre censor, but Freestyle Libre's parent
company, Abbott, only recommends using the substance "tachy white" which
comes in packets. Once you open a packet you wipe it on the arm in the area
you will be placing your censor and wait until it dries to a "tachy"
consistency.

While it does take some practice and coordination to apply the censor, it is
not difficult to do, as you can find where to apply with one hand, and once
you have set up the parts to work together, you just press down, wait to
hear and feel the censor needle go into your arm, and then remove a piece
that is on top of your censor.

A good diabetes educator can teach you, or if you need someone to talk you
through it you can call Freestyle Libre. I can also answer questions.

FreeStyle Libre.

I can tell you about the libre,
I use it, where would like to know where I can get my insurance to pay
80 percent instead of me paying for it.
This goes on the arm, you have a patch if you want to call it that goes
over the cencer to keep it on.
You read with the phone and that is it.
You have to be the one to figure out if you are low or not, it doesn't
wake you or anything like that.
