Medicare is an insurance carrier as are others. The reason for requiring finger sticks from 3 to 6 times a day is not to continue to prove anyone is a diabetic. The reason for this requirement is to monitor your control of your diabetes and the effectiveness of whatever prescription medicines you take for the diabetes and associated conditions. --
